LESSONS

chair-filtered

In the study of the Alexander Technique the student learns to make
his/her free organization in gravity the number one priority in any activity. With tactile and verbal guidance from the teacher, the student experiments with this re-prioritization in a variety of simple activities such as getting in and out of chairs, walking and vocalizing. The Alexander student learns to recognize and prevent harmful habits of movement and through ongoing lessons learns to not sacrifice his/her body to accomplish a task. This helps him/her to
avoid injury. Alexander Technique helps to maximize potential as well
as promote healing by relieving overall strain.
